The beautiful city of San Diego!

Well we just got back from San Diego...well just as in a week ago. Still recent enough to post a blog about. We had lots of fun seeing the sites, going to the beach, eating, and playing games. We fell in love with the game 'Ticket to Ride' and even purchased are own copy and played with some friends. It's a good one if anyone is looking for a new game.

Here are some pics of the trip. This is Andrew and his Dad at the USS Midway (a really big aircraft carrier, did you know they even have little jails on those things?!)

Here is Andrew and his niece Caroline playing chess. I know Caroline won legitimately because I overheard Andrew trying to convince her against certain moves.

And here we are at Sea World's Shamu show (that's their whale show). They tried to make it all inspirational by talking of dreams and becoming one with the sea...I just liked the tricks they did. Although, I shouldn't complain about the cheesy show because apparently it inspired some. On the way back to the car I heard a little girl yell "Goodbye Shamu!"

And here's a pic of us surfing. I say "us" because I was working just as hard watching from the beach to make sure Andrew didn't get eaten by a shark:)

It's my first day

This is our first blog... We've been married for a year and a half, so we'll have to bring everyone up to date quickly! This is us.

This is our first apartment...we actually really loved it. It had all the characteristics you need for a first apartment, low ceilings, mold problems, and mice (we got rid of those). It was a great neighborhood, or at least is a millions times better than where we are now, and a nice old lady lived above us:)

This is our first year wedding anniversary! We went to South Tahoe and had some old cake, it was actually pretty tasty (well at least Andrew thought so, my expectations were too high. It was just so good the last time we had it).

We moved last March to become apartment managers. So far so good. We love the apartment, but aren't so keen on the neighborhood. Our favorite calls from tenants so far have been; 1)My water smells 2)My toilet is plugged and 3)Where are the garbage cans? (the tenant had lived here 3 months already...they then called a week later to ask where the recycling bins were...they happen to be right next to the garbage cans).

This is Andrew being all manager like, too bad the problem was with our apartment! All fixed now though, we have electricity and all the appliances are working in the kitchen again (I hate to say it, but yes, that's usually how our kitchen sink looks. Aren't dishes the worst?!).

That's us in a nutshell. We'll give you another update soon!
