first day

Our kids are growing up! Here is Little Bug on her first day of 1st grade. She was so excited to finally be able to stay at school all day and eat lunch there like a big kid! And Tank has started preschool. He was up and ready, had his backpack on and was super excited to take a 'first day' picture like his big sis. After school he proudly showed me all his work. He also announced that I was gone a long time and he was pretty tired (preschool was two hours). We love these kids!

annual camping trip

We were able to go on our annual camping trip with the Christensen's this past summer. I still enjoy everything about camping minus the sleeping part. Man, was it a rough night! The wind was blowing so hard making it difficult to sleep. According to our friend's smart watch, he got no restful sleep. I'm guessing we were all in the same boat. But somehow we all managed to get up, have a fun breakfast in a nearby park and boat for the day! 

The little ones got a turn boating! And Bitsy fell asleep within the first minute of the ride.

We couldn't get the boat to the beach, so Andrew piled all the kids on him and they braved the seaweed forest underneath their feet to play on shore.  

It was a fun little trip!

Andrew's side of the family had a reunion at Bear Lake. I had only heard good things about it and it certainly did not disappoint! I could not get over the beautiful landscape. We had a great time lounging around, boating, visiting a cave, a local show, going on a carriage ride, off roadking, eating milkshakes (I believe I had 3) and playing at the beach!
