Little Bug turned 7 last week! When I think of Bug, smart, kind and determined are words that come to mind. She loves school and in particular, loves writing and math. In her spare time she is always wanting to do art or any craft project, and at the moment is really into sewing bean bags. She enjoys her piano lessons and is having fun learning some new dance moves in her jazz and hip hop class. We love this little girl who is growing up so quickly!

just because
Heading out the door to church this morning, I noticed the kids outfits matched pretty well. So I quickly took some photos of them. It is hard getting a picture with all of them! But we sure do love these silly kiddos.
The big kids wanted to do a silly pose. Here Bitsy is trying to figure out what is going on.
And...she figured it out pretty quickly.

happy halloween!
Happy Halloween from an Eskimo, construction worker and ballerina. Bug and Tank certainly are pros at going trick or treating now and Bitsy caught on super quickly. She insisted on trick or treating with the big kids and wouldn't let anyone help her carry her loot for fear it would be taken away.

palouse falls
A few weeks ago we were able to go hiking with a small group of friends at Palouse falls. I can't believe that we had never been! It was the perfect family hike and to everyone's enjoyment, we were able to find a little waterfall run off that was pretty fun to play and explore in.

pumpkin patch
We had a great time visiting a local pumpkin patch this past weekend! We picked pumpkins, went for a hayride, fed some cows, ate some really tasty pumpkin donuts while listening to some live folk music, took a cute train ride and did plenty of running around. It was a pretty fun way to spend a beautiful and quite crisp fall morning.
She repeatedly chose this corn for her 'pumpkin.'
The boys were pretending the police were in hot pursuit of them in their stationary tractor.
Playing tag
NONE of the kids are looking at the camera, but we were all there!
portland zoo
Recently, Andrew decided to take a Friday off of work. So we decided to make a day of it by going to the Portland zoo! It did not disappoint and there were even a few animals there I had never seen before; a hippopotamus and rhinoceros. We then stopped by a Red Robin for dinner and headed home. It was a really fun and much needed family day.
