bear lake

Andrew's side of the family had a reunion at Bear Lake. I had only heard good things about it and it certainly did not disappoint! I could not get over the beautiful landscape. We had a great time lounging around, boating, visiting a cave, a local show, going on a carriage ride, off roadking, eating milkshakes (I believe I had 3) and playing at the beach!

Thank you for the memories!

summer soccer

Little Bug and Tank participated in a summer soccer program this year. It was nice because both games were on the same night back to back. This happened to be Tank's first time being signed up for an official activity and he was pretty excited about moving up in the ranks around here. He did participate in the games, but we quickly found out his favorite things were the after game snacks, playing with the grasshoppers, and getting dirty with his friend while Little Bug played. Oh I love that boy. Little Bug did great! She was quite active in going after the ball and her favorite part was playing goalie. This year was also particularly fun because Andrew got to be one of her coaches.

boating

We had another great summer boating with friends! We even got to try their surf board out this year. It was particularly fun with some of the kids being brave enough to give it a try with the dads.

Unfortunately, when Andrew surfed with Tank he ended up on the wrong side, putting Tank's face right in the spray. He recovered, but was not too sure he'd try it again.

These little ones were such good troopers every time we went out.

Once again being a trooper.

They're already becoming pretty good buddies.

We're already looking forward to next summer!

4th of july

We had a great 4th of July weekend. We went on an overnight camp out and had a fun time setting up camp, swimming, having a barbecue and eating s'mores. Tank's favorite part was being RIGHT by a pretty busy train track. He just sat and waited for the trains to pass by. To my shock the trains continued to pass by during the night! I did find myself wondering who puts a campground next to a train track?! But it was literally Tank's favorite part so...The next day we took another swim, came home and cleaned ourselves and went to another barbecue and did lots of fireworks. We're so grateful to live where we live. Happy birthday America!

4

Tank recently turned 4! We sure do love him! He still loves playing in the dirt and water best, adores anything with wheels on it, loves doing real work with Dad and does a great job looking out for his sisters. He keeps a good eye on Bitsy and adores playing with Bug. One of my favorite things is him calling out for Bug to come play with him. But most of all, I love his sweet and tender soul. He dishes out awesome kisses, is quick to say 'I love you' and gives out really endearing back scratches.

He was pretty pleased at everybody singing 'Happy Birthday' to him.

Happy birthday Tank!

ballet recital

Little Bug recently had her annual ballet recital. She did a fabulous job! And was once again super excited about getting flowers at the end of her performance. Next year will be a bit different because she is wanting to try out jazz. We love our little dancer!
