camping

A couple weeks ago we were able to go camping with our good friends, the Christensens. We had so much fun! It was pretty glorified camping, which at my stage in motherhood is just right. We ended up camping at a boat launch and then went boating the next day. It was perfect. We had fun playing at the beach, eating hot dogs, making smore's, chatting late into the night and of course boating. The kids favorite part was sleeping in the tent (which makes me laugh because that is my least favorite part about camping) and eating an unlimited amount of smore's (I totally agree with that one). And my friend Lindsey ended up taking these awesome pictures of our whole experience! Thank you Lindsey, it makes me smile looking at all these photos!

As we drove away from our campsite, Tank was pretty heartbroken. He kept saying he still wanted to go camping and both kids are already asking to go again. Until next summer! Sigh. I am missing it already.

34

Andrew had his 34th birthday this last week. 34TH BIRTHDAY. So, we partied it up to make us feel young.

Our cute guests.

Tank insisted on displaying Andrew's present in the dump truck.

Little Bug made up a scavenger hunt for Andrew to find her present to him.

And of course there was Andrew's favorite jello lime cake.

We were so warn out from it all we fell asleep right after putting the kids to bed.
Happy birthday to the best husband and father ever!

utah

We had so much fun visiting Andrew's parents in Utah this summer! It was quite the fun filled trip! We went to the fair, This is the Place Park, did some boating, swimming in papa and grandma's pool and of course ate a lot! We also celebrated Andrew's birthday. It was quite fun because Andrew got a new water ski! His old one was being help together with electrical tape. He was quite pleased with his gift. Unfortunately, I forgot the camera (I always forget something when packing for a trip). So, our trip was documented with only phone pictures, but at least it was documented.

Here Little Bug is trying out some water skiing herself! She was so brave and had a lot of fun. We were pretty excited for her, but sadly, we have gone boating since then and she has been a bit scared to try it out again. We are hoping for next summer.

This is me on the slalom ski. The last time I skied, I believe, was three years ago? Anyway, you have to catch the photo pretty quick cause I sill fall down pretty fast.

Andrew figuring out his new ski! He now wants a case to carry his ski around in, so pretty sure he loves it!

Picture with grandma and Andrew's finger:)

This is the Place Park! Little Bug had fond memories of visiting this place last year. This year did not disappoint as well. My favorite part? The homemade snicker doodles baked in a fire oven.

Tank carried this map around for a good chunk of time while we were there. Since coming home, he also keeps mentioning it and wonders what happened to it.

Panning for gold. The kids could have stayed there all day.

Train ride! Tank's favorite part.

 Cute boy in a train.

Then we had to come home and get back to reality, which is never quite as fun. We can not wait to go back and the kids have already mentioned going for another visit!

soccer

Little Bug had another great soccer season this summer. They each got medals and Bug's was for best sportsmanship. She was pretty pleased about getting her first medal.

Bug's biggest fan. He also loved scoring the team's after game snacks.

There are too many things about this photo that I love.

teeth

This little one popped her two bottom teeth this week. We are all relieved she is sleeping again.

chewer

Bitsy is a major chewer. Blankets, her fingers, my fingers, burp cloths, anything she can get her cute little hands on.

cooking

As soon as Tank hears any clank of a kitchen pot he is there by my side to help. Usually, he resumes his role as official taste tester and stirrer. Here he is both tasting and stirring some jello. He thought it was pretty yummy and wondered why we don't just drink jello.
